When you consider school in general, most of the work is done off site. The simple truth is that in an academic setting, YOU are the key to learning and much of that learning can be accomplished through homework and studying. Certainly, the value of a teacher or professor is to help you expedite your learning, to show you new ways to think and teach you in a way that you will understand.

With high-speed internet, streaming video, interactive sessions, there’s more interaction available on line than I used to have in the classroom! When it comes down to it, there are courses that you do for credit and you don’t need much help from the professor (depending on your strong subjects) and there are course where you need extra help. For the courses that you know you’ll need extra help, do some research on the online college. Find out about online study groups, availability of the professor, and any other interactive tools such as streaming video.

If the month you are in contains an “R” then it’s generally considered a good month to get fresh oysters. The issue with the months that don’t have “R” is that they tend to be warmer and the oysters tend to be less firm and not as appealing.

I went to the Rodeo, and it was frekin awesome! My son loved it, and I have to admit, I did too! My wife agreed to go because she thought she owed me one, but, as it turns out, she loved it too!
